Joohyun Choi

Joohyun Choi was born in Korea and moved to Germany after graduating from Deuk-won Art High School to study artistic training at the Darmstadt Academy of Music. During her studies, she performed as a guest at the Darmstadt State Theater. She won 2nd place in the Korean Music Association competition, 1st place in the Youth Music Competition and the Princess Margaret of Hesse Competition, among others. She is currently studying transverse flute for her master's degree at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts with Daniela Lieb. In 2023, she founded the Otium ensemble with colleagues.

Dongju Seo

Dongju Seo, born in 1995 in South Korea, studied recorder for her bachelor's degree with Prof. Michael Schneider and Kerstin Fahr and for her master's degree with Prof. Jan van Hoecke at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Frankfurt am Main. During her studies, she reached the final of the 11th International Telemann Competition in Magdeburg. In 2021, she founded the "Ensemble SOMO", which won 1st prize with maximum points at the international recorder festival "Ensemble 2021" in Trossingen. Since completing her master's degree in 2022, she has been studying for her concert exam with Prof. Jan van Hoecke and Kerstin Fahr. In addition, she took part in master classes with Walter van Hauwe, Jesper Christensen, Antonio Politano and Han Tol, among others. She performed as a soloist at the Isang Yun Festival in 2017 and performed at the Weilburg, Kronberg and Wiesbaden Castle Concerts. Since 2022 she has been a member of the “Saturday Recorder Quartet” and will appear in the opera “Xerxes” at the Stadttheater Gießen in 2024.

Naru Yamamoto
Baroque viola
Naru Yamamoto, born in Osaka, began his music studies at the Toho Gakuen School of Music in Tokyo. After moving to Germany, he studied modern viola at the Detmold University of Music with Prof. Veit Hertenstein. From 2019 to 2021 he gained orchestral experience as an intern in the Göttingen Symphony Orchestra. Since 2021 he has been studying baroque viola with Prof. Petra Müllejans and Werner Saller in the Historical Interpretation Practice course at the University of Music and Performing Arts Frankfurt am Main. As a baroque violinist, he regularly works in renowned orchestras such as the Neumeyer Consort, Main Baroque Orchestra and Freiburg Baroque Orchestra.

Moeko Aiba
Baroque cello
Moeko Aiba, born in 1995, is an internationally active cellist who performs in Europe, Asia and the USA. She has performed in prestigious halls such as Carnegie Hall in New York and Suntory Hall in Tokyo. At the age of four she began playing the cello with Jennifer Jahn in the USA. She completed her master's degree in "Professional Performance" at the Folkwang University of the Arts with Prof. Christoph Richter with top marks and a Germany scholarship. She is currently studying baroque cello in the Master's program in Historical Interpretation Practice at the HfMDK Frankfurt with Prof. Kristin von der Goltz. In 2022 she became an academy member of Concerto Köln and an intern at the Theater und Orchester Heidelberg. She has taken part in international festivals such as the Ensemble Akademie Freiburg, the Confidencen Baroque Orchestra Academy and the International Handel Academy. As a chamber musician, she is a member of the baroque trio "La Perula" and deepened her training in courses with renowned musicians such as Midori Seiler, Karl Kaiser and Gottfried von der Goltz. In 2023 she performed as a soloist with the Vivaldi Cello Concerto under Maurice Steger.

Haeun Cho

Haeun Cho, born in South Korea in 1995, moved to Germany in 2016 to take harpsichord lessons with Tatjana Vorobjova. She began her studies in 2017 at the Berlin University of the Arts in Mitzi Meyerson's class and continued in 2018 in the harpsichord class of Prof. Eva Maria Pollerus at the University of Music and Performing Arts Frankfurt am Main. In July 2023 she performed as a harpsichordist at the Rheingau Festival. Since 2023 she has been a member of the ensemble "Otium".
